Jared was staggered twice by the 37-year-old Martin and out to his feet in the final 15 seconds after he raised his hands to start an early celebration.
Martin took advantage of Anderson’s early celebration by shaking him in the boots with a left hand that sent him reeling drunkenly in the final seconds.
That performance necessitated Anderson being matched against a lower-level opponent because he was not ready skill-wise or in terms of his maturity to face better opposition.

“So, it just made me want to go under a rock again. My promoter and co-promoter, they’ve been on top of me in terms of staying active and being relevant. So that’s why we’re here, that is why we fight. So they can see that my work is going to be shown rather than my words.
“Even if I had an excuse, I wouldn’t give it,” Jared said of his poor performance against Martin. “Now that’s how we were brought up. His father is an elderly man, just like my father. My father is 62, 63 years old. So even if we had an excuse, we wouldn’t give it.
“I did what I had to do. I emerged victorious in that battle. I’m glad the game went the way it did and we entertained people. I tip my hat to Charles Martin. He did his thing; he came well prepared, and all the people talking in the comments and stuff.
“I can’t wait for him to fight again. He’s going to really show you what he’s all about. I have seen him and followed him. I follow him on Instagram. He really lives in that gym.
“He stays constant, even after he fought me. He stays consistent. He is really running a new race. I’m glad everyone doubted him and doubted me. I can’t wait for him to show what he has coming and I’m going to continue to climb the ranks and do what I have to do,” Anderson said.
