Oleksandr Usyk defends his unified heavyweight titles against Daniel Dubois in Poland tonight, while a US card with Jared Anderson also takes place
Oleksandr Usyk puts his heavyweight titles on the line tonight against Daniel Dubois in Poland, while top prospect Jared Anderson also returns to action.
Usyk hopes that a win against Dubois will set up an undisputed title showdown with Tyson Fury, who he was due to fight towards the end of the year in Saudi Arabia. The Ukrainian had accepted a 70/30 purse split in favor of Fury, but the fight still fell through when they disagreed on a rematch clause.
Dubois will be looking to pull off a major upset when he steps into the lion’s den in front of 40,000 fans in Poland. Also in Oklahoma, Anderson looks to keep his undefeated record intact against Andriy Rudenko. Anderson is fighting for the first time since his upset win against Charles Martin last month, so here’s everything you need to know about tonight’s bouts…

Anderson: “You will see that I stick to my plan. I’m going to use my jab, my speed. I am always willing to do whatever it takes to win. And I will continue to be who I am because I am amazing. My trainers have been training me as a little guy since I was eight years old. So it kind of comes naturally to just move like I’m lighter.”
Rudenko: “Thank you for our Ukrainian army and soldiers defending our country. It’s great for me to be able to represent the bravest country in the world. I know my opponent is one of the best heavyweight prospects right now. I’ll show you what my plans are to stop him this Saturday in the ring.”
